Originally from Kansas City, MO, Mario’s love for music began at a young age and grew into a lifelong passion for guitar, drums, bass, and coffee (not necessarily in that order). Mario’s performing and recording projects include everything from jazz and worship bands to rock and progressive metal bands.

Mario’s primary instruments are guitar and drums, but he enjoys bass guitar and piano as well, drawing on inspiration from musical influences like Tim Henson, Mario Camarena, and Travis Barker of Blink-182.

A patient and encouraging teacher, Mario connects well with students of all ages and believes that learning to play should be fun! Mario avoids cookie cutter-type music lessons, and takes the time to learn about each student’s individual goals and learning styles, using creative and engaging methods to keep his students excited and eager to keep playing.

Mario is one of our rock band leaders, helping to keep our young players on track and working together, while also still leaving space for community and fun.
