The brass section gets a lot of attention, and for good reason. Strings are beautiful, woodwinds expressive, and percussion’s thrilling — but there’s no denying the sheer power of a good brass section! (Imagine the JAWS theme without a tuba? Yeah, that’s not happening.)

Band programs move fast, but private lessons can help students stay at the top of their musical game.

Playing brass instruments provides great practice at reading sheet music and following direction in a musical setting, and it’s also a fantastic way to develop lung capacity, breath control, and core muscles. (This is especially true if you end up on a sousaphone in marching band!)

Most brass instruments come in multiple sizes and pitches, so if you don’t already know which instrument you want to learn and what kind you should start with, feel free to email us, and we’ll hook you up with Sam for advice.
