About Chase

A native Texan from Temple, TX, Chase Ozment has been playing music since age 10, percussion since age 12, and drum set and jazz since age 13. 

In his school years, Chase travelled to various State and National level competitions with the Temple High School Highlighters jazz band (including the UT jazz festival), and holds a jazz performance degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Today, Chase holds down the beat with notable Austin groups The Aaron Clift Experiment, Big Wy’s Brass Band, Clusterfunk, and Cicadus.

Chase is a killer drummer and percussionist, and in addition to his jazz performance degree, and is also pursuing his teaching certification. He loves working with kids and adults alike, and his easygoing manner helps to put little ones at ease quickly.

Playing and teaching are both passions for him, and he’s a fabulous resource for students looking to play everything from rock music, to jazz, to marching band and percussion.
